Lumbini Buddhist University Central Campus successfully organized an educational field visit for the students of BTTM/BARD 5th Semester on May 8, 2026, as part of its practical and experiential learning activities aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of the tourism, hospitality, and service industries.

During the visit, students explored Hotel Siddhartha Vilasa, a luxury five-star hotel situated in Anchalpur, Siddharthanagar (Bhairahawa). The students observed various operational departments of the hotel including front office management, housekeeping, food and beverage services, hospitality standards, customer service management, restaurant and bar management and luxury accommodation facilities. The hotel management team also interacted with the students and shared valuable insights regarding hotel operations, tourism hospitality scenario, and career opportunities in the hospitality sector.

The field visit also included an interaction and observation session at Ek Surup, a popular local café and restaurant located in Manigram, Tilottama near Butwal. During the visit, students gained practical understanding regarding café culture, restaurant operations, food presentation, host-guest relationship, local entrepreneurship, local artifact, branding, and hospitality service delivery in a contemporary restaurant setting.

The visits provided an excellent opportunity for students to bridge theoretical learning with practical industry exposure. Such practical learning activities play an important role in developing professional competencies, communication skills, management understanding, and real-world knowledge among the tourism and hospitality students.
