In order to materialize its vision, LBU has adopted four basic initiatives: teaching, research, social services, and meditation. Its faculty and associates provide instruction on the Buddha’s teachings, conduct research across the broad field of Buddhist Studies, impart knowledge of canonical language, literature and Buddhist art, and support monastic education.
Lumbini Buddhist University envisions being an international center of academic excellence and a hub of scholarly interaction on Buddhist knowledge and practice that will contribute the welfare of humanity at large.
- हालसम्म विश्वविद्यालयमा जम्मा ६ जना स्थायी शिक्षक भएकोमा हाल केन्द्रिय क्याम्पसमा जम्मा क्याम्पस प्रमुख, सहायक क्याम्पस प्रमुख र निवर्तमान क्याम्पस प्रमुख गरी जम्मा ३ जना मात्र कार्यरत छन्।
- हालसम्म क्याम्पसमा सञ्चालित सबै कार्यक्रमहरुमा नयाँ भर्ना कार्य चल्दै गरेको र नयाँ समूहहरु थपिँदै जाँदा शिक्षक संख्या थप आवश्यक पर्दछ । य शिक्षक, विद्यार्थी, कार्यक्रम तथा विद्यार्थीहरुको तथ्याङ्क २०७८ पौष महिनासम्मको तथ्याङ्क उल्लेख गरिएको छ ।
- विश्वविद्यालयमा हाल सबै शैक्षिक कार्यक्रमहरु सेमेष्टर प्रणाली अनुसार सञ्चालित छन्।
य विश्वविद्यालयमा बौद्ध विषयसंग सम्बन्धित पाली, संस्कृत र भोट भाषाका एक वर्षे प्रमाणपत्र तह
अध्यापन गरिएकोमा शिक्षकको अभावले निरन्तरता दिन सकेको छैन । हाल तीनै भाषाका शिक्षक
उपलब्ध भएतापनि बौद्ध अध्ययनका कार्यक्रमका साथै यसका समूहहरु थपिँदै जाँदा फेरी पनि शिक्षककै
पर्याप्त छैन ।
- सेमेष्टर प्रणाली अन्तर्गत एक जना शिक्षकले लिनु पर्ने कक्षाभारको विषयमा निश्चित निर्णय तथा निर्देशन प्राप्त नभएको तर वार्षिक प्रणालीदेखि नै प्रचलित भएअनुसार एकजना शिक्षक (उपप्राध्यापक)ले स्नातक तहमा प्रतिहप्ता १५ पिरियड र स्नातकोत्तर तहमा १२ पिरियड कक्षाभार लिँदै आएको । तसर्थ हाल स्नातकोत्तरमा भए २ विषय (९६ केडिट घण्टा) र स्नातक तहमा भए ३ विषय (१४४ क्रेडिट घण्टा) क्रमशः ६ घण्टा र ९ घण्टा कक्षा लिँदै आएको छ ।
- हालसम्म वार्षिक प्रणाली अन्तर्गत एम.ए. बौद्ध अध्ययनबाट ५८ जना र बि.ए. का ३० जना
उत्तीर्ण भएका छन्।
- सेमेष्टर प्रणाली लागू भएपछि हाल सम्म कुनैपनि समूह पास आउट भएको छैन ।
